Family Home in Hampstead
Our clients purchased this house for their growing family and had the ambition to convert it into a modern and comfortable home. The property’s interiors had not been refurbished for years and there was no flow in the internal layout of the public areas.
A major remodel of the internal spaces on all floor levels took place, including a first-floor rear extension, a relocated entrance and a new timber staircase. The timber sashes were renewed and the heating system replaced in order to improve the thermal efficiency of the house.
The ground floor layout was reconfigured to provide improved levels of accommodation and amenity more suited to a modern family home. The spacious kitchen area is now the focus of the home and it is opened up to the amenity provided by the rear garden. The ground level also benefits from a cinema room, a formal living and dining areas and a bespoke, free-standing fireplace.
