Reinventing the Cow Byre
This new-build, high-quality, two-bedroom dwelling replaced a former agricultural building that was used as a cow byre. The new design was carefully considered so that it preserved the established character of the area. The rebuilding of the barn was carried out using local stone and clay roof tiles to match the original materials of the building. New fenestration was introduced to the barn to facilitate access and to enable natural daylight to enter the dwelling and the landscape to be viewed and enjoyed.
