Extensive subterranean underpinning work was required for this Grade II listed detached house to provide for the new subterranean swimming pool, garden room and gym. Consent was obtained to transform this period property into a family home with modernist extensions to both the front and rear fa├žades of the home, making better use of the south-facing garden. The underground development produced an innovative swimming pool with additional gym area and garden room, with the entire space illuminated using natural sources from walk-on terrace roof lights. The refurbishment also included a full garden design and interior package, with all family living spaces, bedrooms and bathrooms renovated to achieve a contemporary family home.
